It’s time to amaze you by cooking perfect Russian Salad. Yes, this salad that does not need any introduction, Russian salad not only great in taste but also quick and easy to make.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup French beans
  • ½ cup carrot
  • ½ cup potatoes
  • ½ cup peas
  • ¼ cup capsicum
  • ¼ cup onion
  • ½ to ¾ cup fresh hung curd
  • ½ cup tinned pineapple
  • ¼ cup cheese
  • Salt according to taste
  • Black pepper powder according to taste
  • Fresh cream ( optional )
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
  1. Boil the potatoes and while boiling add pinch of salt.
  2. Fine chop all vegetables in small size cubes.
  3. Par boil French beans, peas and carrot. Add some salt while boiling. Do not over boil it. Otherwise they will lose their crunchiness.
  4. Beat the hung curd with wired hand whisk and keep it aside.
  5. Crush the black pepper corn and keep it aside.
  6. Fine chop the cheese in small size cubes.
  7. Fine chop the tinned pineapple in small size cubes and keep it aside.
  8. Combine boiled vegetables, onion, capsicum, pineapple and cheese cubes in a bowl.
  9. Mix them properly. Add hung curd. Mix well.
  10. Add salt and pepper powder according to taste.
  11. Refrigerate the prepared russian salad for some time.
  12. Serve chilled russian salad as a starter or side dish.
Notes
You can replace the hung curd by fresh cream or mayonnaise. Even with a hung curd you can add 2 tbsp fresh cream to give creamy texture.
