Homemade Dry Ginger Powder Recipe | Sonth or Saunth Powder Recipe
Sonth is Dried Ginger. Today I will be sharing with you a simple and easy recipe for making Sonth Powder, also known as Dry Ginger Powder recipe at Home.
  • Ginger - 250 gms
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
  1. Wash the ginger and remove impurities from the skin if any.
  2. Dry them completely.
  3. Take a completely dry knife and plate.
  4. Thinly slice the ginger along with the skin.
  5. Arrange them on the plate.
  6. Dry these ginger slices in sunlight for 2 days.
  7. After 2 days, let them completely dry on the kitchen slab.
  8. It will take approx 5-6 days.
  9. Once they are completely dried, grind them into a fine powder.
  10. You can preserve dry ginger for the whole year and make fresh dry ginger powder in small quantities.
