The healthy Mug Cake recipe is just 2 minutes of whole wheat jaggery cake recipe.

Ingredients
  • Whole wheat flour / Aata - ½ cup, spooned and leveled
  • Powdered jaggery - ½ cup
  • Baking soda - ¼ tsp or less
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Chocolate chips or nuts - 2-3 tsp, optional
  • Ghee / melted butter - 2 - 3 tbsp
  • Warm milk - ¼ cup
  • Warm water - 2 - 3 tbsp
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
  1. In a mixing bowl,
  2. Add whole wheat flour, powdered jaggery, salt, and soda.
  3. Skip salt if using salted butter.
  4. Give a nice mix.
  5. Add ghee/ clarified butter or melted butter.
  6. Add warm milk.
  7. Whisk well.
  8. Gradually add water by 1 tbsp.
  9. Make a thick batter. Please refer to a video recipe.
  10. Add 2 tsp of chocolate chips or chopped nuts of your choice.
  11. Fold well.
  12. Pour the batter evenly into two 250 ml microwave-safe mugs.
  13. Fill the mug 50% only.
  14. Microwave it one by one for 1 minute and 20 seconds on high powder.
  15. Do not place them together.
  16. Once done, garnish with some more nuts or chocolate chips and serve warm !!
