Prepare this fresh Strawberry crush and use as toppings and in mocktails.
Recipe type: Crush
Serves: ¾ cup
  • 1 cup strawberry ( fine chopped )
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 – 4 drop lemon juice
  • A pinch sodium benzoate
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
  1. Wash the strawberries properly, fine chop them and keep aside.
  2. Combine sugar and water in heavy bottom non stick pan.
  3. Boil the syrup to make a one thread consistency.
  4. Add strawberries and stir occasionally.
  5. If you want to keep it for a longer period in the refrigerator add a pinch of sodium benzoate to the boiling mixture. ( optional )
  6. Add lemon juice.
  7. When the mixture thickens, off the flame and leave the mixture to cool out fully before you bottle it.
  8. Enjoy with ice-cream or make delicious mocktails.
