The green banana is best eaten cooked, either boiled or fried. Nutritionally, the green banana is a good source of fiber, vitamins and minerals, and contains a starch that may help control blood sugar, manage weight and lower blood cholesterol levels.

Always store chips in air tight containers and ensure that no moisture reacts with these chips. If not stored properly, chips become moist and will not remain crisp any more. If banana chips do not remain crispy because of any reason, just microwave it for 1 min and enjoy it.

It needs no accompaniment. Still you can season the chips with red chili powder and salt. Also you can season with black pepper powder or your own choice of herbs and spices.

If you follow salt free vrat or fast then you can add rock salt or sendha salt.

While selecting banana for chips, always select small or medium size banana, so you can make chips of one banana at a time. Raw bananas should be hard enough.

Once you peel the banana, because of its oxidation process it will start to turn black. That’s why peel the banana when you needed and slice them into water or hot oil directly to avoid its oxidation.

Another plus point of making banana chips at home is you can slice the bananas according to thickness of your choice. So you can slice it thin as much as you want.
