Ingredients
  • 100 gm flour
  • 40 gm butter
  • 40 gm almonds ( roughly chopped )
  • 100 gm milk maid
  • 50 gm milk solid ( khoya / mawa ) ( sugarless )
  • 60 ml water + 60 ml water
  • 130 gms dates ( seedless )
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of soda
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
  1. Chop the dates.
  2. Cook dates with 60 ml water for 2-3 min.
  3. Weigh all ingredients and keep it aside.
  4. Strain maida, baking powder and soda.
  5. Coat almonds and chocolate chips with pinch of flour.
  6. Grease 500 gm cake tin (15 cm diameter ).
  7. Pre-heat oven for 10 min.
  8. Combine milk maid, butter and essence in one deep bowl.
  9. Beat well for 1 min.
  10. Add milk solid. Beat for 30-40 sec.
  11. Add maida mixture. Mix well.
  12. Add cooked dates and water.
  13. Beat for 2 min.
  14. Add nuts and chocolate chips.
  15. Mix well.
  16. Pour batter into greased tin.
  17. Tap well to remove bubbles.
  18. Transfer it into pre-heated oven.
  19. Bake it for 25-30 min or till cake get done.
